Mr A. Buckland reports on Thursday: — A small number of .dairy 'cows yarded wero slightly more saleable than last week ; prices ranged from 50s to L 6. Bidding piice for steers was from lCsto ]8s ; cows, 13s to 14s 100 lb, average for drafts of steers received r.inged generally from L 5 16s to L 7 ; calves plentiful, generally from three to siz week's fed, and brought from 8s to 17s each ; sheep which in short supply, were firm ; wethers in their wool, 12s to 17s; shorn sheep, 9s to I2a ; lambs, numerous, but ninny too young to be profitably sent to market ; these brought from 3s Gd to 6s ; but well grown and fatted lambs realised from 9s to I4s each. Well-bred house fed pigs sold satisfactorily, but large coarse animals were from 3s to 7s each.
