The expedition which left Labiador some consideiable time back, under the command oi Lieutenant Wiggins, in order to ascertain whether the Arctic Ocean was navigable, so as to open a route from Labrador to the mouth oi" the Yenesei River, Siberia, has returned. Lieutenant Wiggins reports that under the most favourable circumstances it would be impossible for vessels to reach the northern portion of Asia.
