NEW DREDGING MACHINE.
Dunedin. Sept. 24. The representative of a Sydney syndicate is about to start for New Zealand to introduce dredging plant suibable for beaches and, rivers ■which at little cost of maintenance, and trifling, working expenses,, will do more work than any of the dredgers hitherto introduced. The cost, delivered at any accessible place, including barge, etc., is about £1,500 for a machine capable of lifting 75 tons of solid material per ,h6rir. The syndicate, will, it is stated, find the necessary plant for an interest in the" claim.
