THE SOUL'S CRY ANT THE SAVIOUR'S ANSWER.
[In one of the leading insurance offices of New York City, an official recently distributed, as opportunity offered, the following, tafcen from the columns of The Standard. He had it beautifully re-printed in leaflet form for this purpose. This act not only evinced his religious devotion ; it also showed that there is a way of doing good even in the busy marts of trade.]
Lord, be Thou my helper (Psa. xxx. 10). Fear not : I will help thee (Isa. xli. 13). 0 Lord, I am in trouble (Psa. xxxi. 9). Call upon Me in the day of trouble : I will deliver thee (Psa. 1. 15). Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin (Psa. li. 2). 1 will : be thou clean (Matt. viii. 3). Keep the door of my lips (Psa. cxli. 3). I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalb Bay (Exod. iv. 12). God be merciful to me a sinner (Luke xviii. 13). Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (1 Tim. i. 15). What must Ido to be saved ? (Acts xvi. 30). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (Acts xvi. 31). 0 that I knew where I might find Him ! (Job xxiii. 3). Ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart ( Jer. xxix. 13). Behold, lam vile. What shall I answer Thee ? (Job xl. 4). Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow (Isa. i. 18). Create in me a clean heart, O God (Psa. li. 10). A new heart also will I give you (Ezek. xxxvi. 26). 1 am weary with my groaning (Psa. vi. 6) t Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee (Psa. lv. 22).
