The thud intercolonial conference of the Licensed Victuallers' Association was held at Adelaide, delegates from the different colonies being present. lb was resolved that combined action should be taken throughout the colonies to compel all clubs selling alcoholic drinks to be licensed. It was also resolved that none bub the holder of a publican's license be allowed to supply liquors when the cost of same is included in the price of the ticket «t any dinner?, balls, or parties ; that in all caaes where local option was in force to clo.^e hotels compensation should in justice be paid by the locality and not be taken from the general revenue ; and that in any alteration of existing laws two hours on Sunday evening should be contested for.
