THAMES NOTES. Thames, Sept, 14. PORT OF THAMES.
Thj; Secretary of the Harbour Board re. ceived the following telegram yesterday afternoon from the Marine Department;— ''feir, — X am directed to inform you that the Government have again considered the question of the limits ot the port of Thames, and have decided to revert to the limits fixed in 1874." The Government has thei'efoie revoked the existing limits and defined the limits to bo those described in the warrant ot the 7th September 0874, which was published in the " Ga/.ctte " If 10th September in the same year.
FOKESHORE MUUNU. A local shareholder in the Thames Forefchoro Gold Recovery Company has received a letter from London staling 1 that il is proposed to amalgamate Hiat company with the New Zetland branch of the Newb'enyVanbin Company, and thai in the event of such being carried out, all arreais had been paid up lo Hie end of last year and the interest of the foimer company will be handed o\er to the Nc.vbei ry Company at the Thames.
