FATAL RAI LWAY ACCIDENT.

Westi'okt, iSept. 13. Ykvj'lkiuy e\ oiling a man was killed on the Kiilway heie. His name was ChailesSutherland and he was a carpeute) who came fiom Dunedin 12 months ago. The body was disembowelled and the limbb mangled. During the day he was hitting on the platform and was caught by a passing tram.

The water supply of Tokio, Japan, is by the wooden water pipe system, which has been in existence over two hundred years, furnishing at present a daily supply ot from twenty-Hve to thirty million gallon.*-.
