C'omi-aW. — A telegiam received last night iiom the manager of this mine state- that the leader at the bottom level i-s of large size and colours of gold have been seen. The dine has holed through to the winze. Ntw Pki.nce Lmveuial. — Cleaning up and retorting took place yesteiday ior the l'eturn of 220z retoited gold, which wa* re duced on smelting to 210/ 14d\vt. For the yield there werf crushed 17 loads quart/ from the ea&tern end and 5 loads from the western end ioi the reapefthe returns of 110/ 14d\vt and 100/ The quartz from the eastern end is not nearly payable, and it is pioposed to remove the four men woiking there to the western end. Bridges and party, who have been tributing in the mine for the past two yeata and eight months, have given up their work. Ca.mbria. — The mine manager leports that cleaning up and letorbing for the fortnight took place on Wednesday for the following return: — 53 loa<Jo quaib/ crushed for 450z lOdwb ; lblb picked stone lor 140/; 11 loads tailings for bo/. ; tot.il, £etorted gold 640/ lOdwt ; melted gold, (530z lOdwt. Tokatka. — The mine manager icporls: During the past week Duncan and party have been dm ing on Xo. 3 reel, which is about one foot in thickness, and good proapects of loose gold showing. The reef is easy to bi'eak out, and no shooting is required. Dick and party on No. 5 have accumulated a little general stuif from the ends of the winze &unk by them some mouths ago. They cannot get any more payable stone horn here until a lower level is put in for drainage. R berbs and party from No. 17 Block crushed one ton general and 251b picked stone for 260/?; 15dwbiefcorted gold.
