K A PA NGA SPECIMENS FOR MELBOURNE.
Among the samples of ore trom Auckland CJolclhelrl-* which aie to be cent to the .Melbourne Exhibition, the parcel of " specimens'' tiom the Kapanga mine, Coromandel, is certain to attract a large share of attention. Tin* lot consists of between 30 and 401b of stone obtained in the couise of working last week. It 1^ so richly nnitei aliped that the value of this '-mall parcel is set down r-t i 450, one specimen alone which weighs lllb being woith nearly jclBo. Captain Hodge, manager ot the Kapanga mine, brought the stuff to Auckland on Satuiday last, ana deposited it at the Bank for t-afe keeping. It will be bent off to Melbourne on Thursday next.
