THAMES JOCKEY CLUB.
At the annual meeting ot members of the Thames Jockey Club the balance-sheet was read and approved, and showed the amoun^ to the credit of the Club to be £200, Messrs Gellion, Styak, McDonnell. Butler, Nolan and (Sullivan were appointed a Committee for the ensuing year, and the meeting adjourned. A meeting of the Committee was then held, when the following officers were appointed : — President, Mr Fraser ; VicePresident, Mr.Darrow; Auditor, Mr Butler, Treasurer, Mr McDonnell ; Secretary, Mr Melrose; Starter, Mr Short: Clerk of Scales, Mr Burton; Stewards, Messrs McDonnell, Butler, Darrow, Gellion and Nolan. It was decided to hold the race meeting on the 26th and 27th December next atParawai, and that the stakes for the two clays should not exceed £500. Messrs Bobbett, Gellion, and Butler were appointed a committee to draw up a programme, and the matter of appointing, a handicapper referred to the Stewards.
