Owing to lengthy description in our columns to-day, of tho new plant now in course of erection for the Te Aroha S. ami G. I\[. Co., wo are compelled to condense nil other fining news in this issue. At Wniovongomfti the works in connection with tho new plant above referred to fxre being pushed on with all possible speed , and several teams nre kept constantly on the road carting materials, etc. Another section of the water-nice extension was let this week, the succosful contractors being Messrs Cookson and party. In the mines work is progressing much as last reported, and consists in pushing on with the various low levels, and other works in connection with opening up the mines. Good progress is being made by tho contractor For road formation for the transpoit of kauri timber to the s-uv pit". Brett and which immediately adjoins tho Rnakaksi ; but owing to the very wet weathor which has prevailed for come time pnst it hns been impossible to do much in the direction of developing them =o far. Moore ; and we understand was much pleased with what he siw, thinks highly of the future of the Te Aroha goldfield, and was astonished and greatly pleased at the advanced state of matters in connection with mining at Waiorongomni. Messrs Squirrel! and Munro have commenced operations on the Silver I Queen Licensed Holding, Tui, and alrealy discovered reefs in the ground.
