LATEST PROM THAMES. + 1 SAJjE OF CRAWFORDS LEASE, WAIOTAHI CREEK. PURCHASED BY AN AUSTRALIAN SYNDICATE. THAMES, Last night.

The purchase of Crawfords lease in the Waiotahi Creelc has now been completed by Mr Meyers, on behalf of a Sydney syndicate; tho deeds having been signed last evening. There is every reason to believe that work upon the property will be proceeded with almost immediately, although the ground is protectod for three months ; but the mode of operations has not yet been definitely decided upon. It is more than likely, however, that the original intention will be adhered to, viz., to sink a main shaft, from which to carry on operations in the vicinity of the reservoir in the Waiokaraka, and afterwards a crosscut therefrom to intersect several reel's which are known to traverse tho ground, The property is at present in tho hands of tho syndicate, who will probably iloat it into a powerful company in Melbourne, and appoint Mr T. 11. Crawford manager.
