MINING EXHIBITS FOR MELBOURNE. BOURNE. Thames, August 24.

A wmji has been received by Mr G. Wilson, Mining Inspector, from Mr H. A. Gordon stating that a guarantee will be given by the Government to return rich- specimens sent to the Melbourne Exhibition. It is suggested thab the value of the specimens should be ascertained so that they could be insured. Messrs Wilson and Gordon are now at Paeroa to attend a meeting of the Exhition Committee, to be held this (Saturday) afternoon.
