ST. MARK'S CHURCH. ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL RE-UNION.
The Hpn Secretary of the Committee, who so succeS9fnJly carried out tbo arrangements in connection with th 4 above, wiites as follows i — ".Permit me briefly to state the facts as to the entertainment in connection with St Mark's Congregational Reunion, in order to correct one error, in your otherwise! faithful report of it. By a resolution of the Vestry, the wives of the Vestryman, with Mrs Mar-< shall, were requested to form themselves into a committee to make arrangements for the entertainment. They thought the best way to do so was to invite the co-operation of their friends in Te Aroha and the surrounding districts. Their invitation met with a very hearty response. At the request of a member of the committee, who was unavoidably absent, Mrs Downes took her place, and, as stated in your report, she supplied everything that was necessary for her table. Other friends, not only in Te Aroha, but also from Shaftesbury, Waiorongomai, and Te Aroha West, etc., gave assistance. The committee were thus assured of having the entertainment a success, so far as the creature comforts were concerned. They desire to thank their many kinds friends who gave such hearty assistance, and contributed so largely to the enjoyment of. the evening, and to the great success of the entertainment."
