Flour Market. — Wholesale : Flour, best roller, £11 ss ; second, £10 5s j Southern flour, £9 ; bran, ton (sacks included), £3 10s; Southern do., £3 10s; local sharps, £4; Southern do., £4 10s cabin bread, £15; oatmeal (25 s), £10 5s to £10 15s ; oats, 2s 3d to 2s 4d ; maize, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; local potatoes, £4 5s to £4 10 ; Southern potatoes, — ; pearl barley, £22 to £23 per ton ; beans, 3s 3d ; onions, 7s to 9s. All grain, chaff, oatmeal, etc.. sold including; sacks.
Kauri Gum. — The market continues unsettled. At present quotations are as follows (nominally) :— Fair to good ordinary, £27 to £2S ; superior parcels, £29 to £30 ; East Coast, £13 to £45. Supplies for August to date, about 318 tons.
Coal and Firewood Market. — Coal : Newcastle (ship's side), 23s to 27s per ton ; yard, 26s to 30s ; Bay of Islands, afe mines, 13s ; ab yards, 235 ; steam, 24s ; house, delivered, 30s ; Waikato, Bs, 12s ; ab Auckland, 18s to 22s ; Taupiri, at mine.
