Seddon, the captain of tho English football team, was drowned in the Hunter Tliver ab Maitland this afternoon. He had gone out rowing in an outrigger, which capsized with him, and before any assistance could be rendered he sank. In consequence of his death the match arranged to take place to-nioii'ow between the English leHtn and the Northern districts has been postponed.
