AUCKLAND, Last Night, Tiik Melbourne special of the Auckland Star wires that though some additions have been made to the New Zealand mining exhibits, they still make a miserable show. He mills that H.M.S. Nelson, wont aground coming out of tho dock on Saturday last, and suggests that the Auckland Harbour Board should send a model of the G diqpe Dock, and photographs Showing simultaneous docking of the Diamond and Gallic pe.
Tho New Zcaliiivl Government have resolved to pay freight of parcels of ore sent to the Melbourne Exhibition, and send them free of duty without any conditions. Tho meeting of the mining committee of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce with mining directors and managers takes place tomorrow afternoon to consider whnt steps should be taken to send ore to Melbourne.
