At the Warden' 3 Court to-day, the following licensed holdings were granted : — J. B. Smith, Shotover, Karangahake ; R. Blair, Kawhai, Marototo ; C. Forrester and H. S. Meyers, Appeal, Marototo ; J. B. Smith, Silver King, Karangakake. Wanted : R. T. Graham, Dawn of Hope, Furiri ; A. L. Gibb Silver King, MarototojD. B. McDonald, Silver Crown, "Marototo ; Buckland, freehold, Puriri ; C. Curtis, Sydney, Waiomo ; J. B. Steedman, Paroquet No. 2, Waiomo ; H. C. Wick, Grand Junction, Marotobo ; C. Manuel, Goldfinch, Waiomo. The Hon. G. S. Richardson, Minister for Mines, has telegraphed to Mr J. Young :—: — "The Collector of Customs has been directed to permit the export of gold ores for the Melbourne Exhibition on the exporter's guarantee to reimport or pay the duty on same." Oisskrvek. — The manager reports : I have driven 35 feet since cutting the reef. The country for the last 4 feet is much harder. Since the change in the ground. I am getting some firstclass ore. The reef in the face is looking well,- and before very long I will be able to send up a ton tor treatment, which I am sure will go well. The stone is equal in quality to the Goldwater, exactly the same in appearance. By the look of the reef I believe that lam coming into a good run of stuff.
