THE DISMASTED BRIG RESTLES.
The brig Restless, from Sydney, timber laden, reached Hobson Bay. This is the dismasted vessel which was sighted by the Iberia on Friday last, 13 miles from the Heads. She had a Aery heavy passage. She left Sydney on June 18th, and on the evening of the 20th violent squalls were encountered, the sea making clean breaches over her. A portion of the deck cargo was washed overboard. On the 21st all hands were pumping to keep the wator down. Next day the water gainqd 18in., and on the 23rd it was 2ft. in the hold, and the vessel was lying like a log, and evidently settling down. It was agreed that all hands should attempt) to save the vessel by cutting away the masts, which was done. The weather then improved, but the water continued to yam till the 24th, when there was Bit. in the hold. After that the water gradually decreased, till on the 28th the pumps sucked.
