Yesterday Mr D. G. MaeDonnell, agent for the Newb'Try-VauMn process of gold extraction, received a letter from Dr Scheidel, intimating that he was to leave Sydney by the JKotomahana Tor Auckland, and that he will arrive here on Tuesday next. Dr Scheidel is the expert sent out by the London patentees to erect and superintend the works at Thames. Immediately on arrival he will proceed to the Thames, and will supervise the erection of the machinery, which has arrived during the last fortnight per Aorangi from London.
