THE CABLE BREAKAGE. PORT DARWIN , July 6.

The Captain of the Myrmidon states that the proximity of the Tambora volcano points conclusively to the inference that the interruption of the cables is caused by volcanic disturbances. Peculiar sunsets, resembling those seen at the time of the Krakatoa outburst, have been seen lately. The steamer which left yesterday with Homeward cables was instructed to ascertain what steps are taken for the restorat'on of the cables.
