THE SUPPOSED SUICIDE AT AUCKLAND.
The young man found shot dead afe Point Resolution has been identified as William McMillan, 25 years oF age, a labourer by occupation. His family resided at Hakaru near Port Albert until within a year ago, but have now left here. The deceased had been recently engaged in bush work at Upper Thames and it is supposed that he went across country to Waikato and thence came to Auckland by rail. The relatives have only a suspicion a3 to what may have boon the cause of his rash act, and this points in the direction of disappointed love. The young lady in the case is said to be a Miss Clark or Clarkson.
