News has been received from Kimberley stating that the country is looking well, bub that native depredations are be coming very serious, calling for prompt action on the part of the Government. One settler has been burnt out of house and home. Otherß are continually losing sheep and other property. Favourable news is to hand respecting the Lady Broome reef. Nearly 300 tons of stone are at grass, some of it very rich, and all payable. The mining manager reports satisfactorily.
