A scab outbreak is reported near the Thames. > The Government are favourably considering 1 the proposal fco impose a tay on guns. Strong opposition to a commercial railway board is shown by the " Post." Tho Land Transfer Amendment Bill has been passed by the Council and read in the Lower House a first time. Mr (Jr. F. Richardson has given notice of a Land Act Amendment Bill. Mr Kolly wants to know if R.M. Court; bailiffs are forbidden to take part in. elections. Mr W.ilker wants the Government to rof or tho question of the re-or^anisation of tho Sheep Department to the Stock Committed Mr Fitzherbert is asking for a return of Government officers holding office as directors of incorporated companies in the colony. Mr Hamlin is asking fox* a return of all persons who have been, dismissed through, retrenchment without compensation.
