WARDEN'S COURT AT P AERO A,
Mn Cadmav has been in "ommunicntiofi with tho Justice Departmonfc relative fo the establishment of ft Warden's Court at Paeroa, and has received a latter from the Hon Mr Fergus saying timfc ho is not satisfied that there is any threat nec^sity for holding a Court thero. This reply is evidently based on the- Warden's report, and the Department consider that the holding of ft Warden's Court will entail Further expense, which at present they do not feel justified entertaining. However, in a moro recent interview Mr Cadtnnn pointed out that no extra expenpe n^ed be incurred, nnd Mr Fergus has promised that if upon further inquiry this can be borne out, he will favourably consider the application.
