GAS EXPLOSION
Gin horn k, June 14. A younc man i.amecl Evans had a nanow escape from being killed thib morning, ifc was opening -i large safe at Commons nnd Shelton and Co. 's Office with a lighted matcli in his hand when an explosion of gas occuned, and ho >\as x thrown heavily across the room and severely burned about the face. The gas jet in the sale had not been turned off at night, and the explosion was thus caused.
