In the Education Department InspectorGeneral Hnbens is reduced by £50 to £600, and €8,080 for training teachers is struck out in accordance with tho decision of the House last session. The Organising Inspec-
fcor of Native Schools is reduced by £50 to £450. Schoolmistress and assistants, Kohimarama,£loB—£l3o; servants, L 144 —£164. The vote of £2,700 tor eight girls' high schools is struck out. Auckland loses £1,000. NATIVE DEPARTMENT. In the Native Department the Chief Judge is reduced from €800 to £700, and six other judges by £100 to £500 each. A clean sweep is made under Native Agents, except Auckland, whore the salary is reduced from £400 to £275. STOCK INSPECTORS. The Superintending inspector Stock branch is reduced from £600 lo I'bOO, and four Chief Inspectors £365 to £325. For the erection of the South Canterbury rabbitproof fence an additional €3,100 is asked. RAILWAYS. [n the Working Railways? Department €36,000 less than la<-t year's vote is asked. The l)isti icto TiaiKc Manager, Auckland, is laised from £450 to £475. Large reductions ate made in the cleiical htafl at the Auckland Railway Station, while the storekeeper is reduced trom €230 to €220. CROWN LANDS. By thoretrenchmentthat has been effected in this department, the Commissioners of Crown Lands at New Plymouth, Auckland, Wellington, Napier, Blenheim, Chiistchureh, llokitika, and lnvcicargill have all gone ; while Mr Maitland, at Dunedin, i-< reduced by £150 to €500. The Smveyor General is docked by £150 to 1750, and As-sistant Surveyor-Ccneral by £50 to €650.
