We have used a label of | "this kind a long timo ba^k, but as it may be a novelty to some of our reader.* wo give a place to it here. Our contemporary says :—: — The lettering can never be effaced by any amount of exposure to the elemont.s. It is a narrow strip of zinc, tapering at one end, w ith the letters marked by perforations, as shown in the engraving. The
name may be first traced with a lead pencilancl the hole** afterwards made uith a piiekpunch Seven al strip* may bo laid together and the holes punched through all of them at once. They aie atlixcd to the tree by "ur.ippmc the nariow end around the body or a limb. The coil expand* with the growth of the limb, thus ob\ iatinj^ any conotuction.
