The only important Auckland salaries increased nro those of Lieut. Col. Shepherd nnd Mr Hudson, Railway Manager. The vote of L5OO to Kiflo Association is struck out, but LfiOO is put on for Volunteer encampments ; there arc voles of a LI OO each for repairs of military £raveyaids ; nnd for long service medals. It was decided in Cabinet to-day to resist Otmoiu.'s lesolutions, and fight for the tea duty nnd primage. It is understood that Government would not resign if resolutions were canietl and tea duty or piimago rejected, as none of those interfered with their policy; they would, however, resign, if they did not get the amount of revenue required from their tantl pioposals. The ]';cn)ier will make an announcement to this effect in the House.
