THE CHINESE QUESTION. LONDON, May 31.
Mr Ilennikcr Ileaton, M.P., in a, letter to the " Times," states that by forcing tho colonies to co-operate regarding the Chinese question, Lord Knutsford is creating an Australian United States. Ho considers it would be better to confer with Australia, and give tho colonies a voice in treaties which affect their interests.
