CABLEGRAMS. FRENCH ENCROACHMENT. ROCKS OFF JERSEY ANNEXED ACTION OF THE IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT. LONDON, May 31.
Tho French have taken possession of the Minquiero, a mass of uninhabited rocks between Jersey and the const of Prance, which hitherto have been regarded as belonging to Jersey. The lmperinl Government protested against tho annexation, to which tho French Government replied that they were astonished at England's claim.
