A Terrible Revenge.
A rkmakkahlk case of a woman's* vengeance liiis just boon disclosed. A young aitist, who is comparatively well-known, lived for a time with a milliner who, lor some months, had been dying of consump tion. Dining her illness a female friend of hers used to visit her and .sit by her bedside. The patient soon pcrcoived that an intrigue was on foot between her lover and the friend. Accordingly, she raised hoi'holt suddenly in bed one evening, and pushed a petroleum lamp on them. The llamcs caught the dress of the hated livol, and she was almost burned to death. When the neighbours came the dying woman to d them that she had fully intended to set the room on fire, so that she, her lover, and her rival might perish in the ilamos.
