From S, Percy Smith, Crown Lands Office, m reply to an application from the Board, stating permission could not be given to open a gravel pit on the Government township lands, and asking if some other place could not be suggested. Resolved : That tho Engineer be requested to employ a man to prospect for a gravel pit beyond the area reserved as Government township sections. Tenders : The Works Committee reported what had been done respecting contracts, and a list of tenders recently received and contracts let wore read (and have already beci published in these columns.)
