THAMES, Last Night. At noon to-day James Coutts, noting on behalf of the Deep Level Cross Company, visited the I'ig Pump, and icad to Mr Phillips, engineer in charge, n legal document authorising 1 him <o Lake charge of the Big Pump, etc., on behalf of its former owners, the Deep Level Cross Co, Mr Phillips nt once wired to Mr D. G. MacDonncll, secretary to the Drainage Board, asking for instructions ; and in reply was authorised to "goon as before." No change has taken place theiefore as yet in the working of the Pump, although this afternoon Mr Coutts placed a. man in poises sion of the. plant on behalf of the Deep Level Cross Co.
