I Sydney, May 10. Several Chinese passengers by the Afghan have been permitted to land, it being found that their papers were all right. THE CHINESE AT GROYDON. Bkisbane, May 10. The Chinese miners at Croydon goldfiolds refuse to obey the demand that they should leave the district. This decision lias been arrived at on the strength of a legal opinion they have obtained. The European miners threaten to eject them forcibly, and special constables have been sworn in to preserve order. DEPUTATION OF CHINESE RESIDENTS. Sidney, May 8.
