Farm and Dairy Produce. — Wholesale : Butter, prime fresh, 8d to lOd per Ib ; Frozon Meat Company's Shell brand (wholesale), lOd ; cheese, good factory, 3?d to 4d per lb ; Canterbury, none ; eggs, Is to Is 3d ; lard, in bladder-, sid ; bacon and hams, 7d to 8d ; Canterbury bacon in cloth, 7^d; equal numbers, 7sd; ham 3, 9^d, scarce. Flour- Market.— Wholesale : Flour, roller, .£ll 5s ; do., superfine, £10 to £10 5s ; do., household, CIO to £10 10s ; Southern flour, £9 10s to £10 ; bran, ton (sacks included), £3 10s; Southern do., £3 ss; local sharps, £5; Southern do., £4 10s; cabin bread, £15 ; oatmeal. £9 5s to £9 15s ; oats, 2s Id to 2s 4d ; maize, 3h 9d ; local potatoes, C 3 ; pearl barley, £21 per ton; beans, 3s 3d ; onions, £8 to £9. All grain, chafl", oatmeal, etc., sold including socks. Kauri Gum. — The market is very deprossed, and although the prices are quotedpoor ordinary, 28s to 325 ; fair ordinary, 33s to 34s ; best ordinary, 36s to 37s ; EavSt Coast, 42s to 46s — there are no buyers. Late advices from London show that there has been a heavy fall, and that stocks have increa&ed considerably. At the present prices here there is no margin for speculation, and prices must come down all round. The large quantities still afloat have a depressing iniluenceon the London market, and prices arc likely to go still lower. The supplies for the past four months amount to 705 tons. Co u. and Firlwood Markkt. — Coal : Newcastle (ship's side), 22s to 26s per ton ; yaid, 26s to 30s ; Bay of Islands, at mines, 13s ; at yards, 23s ; steam, 24s ; house, delivered, 28s ; Waikato, Bs, 12s ; at Auckland, 18s to 225 ; Taupiri, at mine, Bs, 12s ; at Auckland, steam, 17s 6d ; household, 255 ; Whangarei, afc mine, 9s 6d ; yard (steam), 17s 6d ; household, 23s ; delivered, 255. Firewood : Uncut at wharf (cargo), 6s 6d to 8s 6d per ton ; delivered, 10s to 12s ; cut, 14s to 16s. Manures. — Bonedust : Sydney, £7 10s to £8, according to quality ; boneflour, £8 to £8 10s : Auckland, £8 ; Peruvian guano, £14 to £17; Long Island do., £4 10s, bags included ; Huret's chemical manure, £7 15s to £15. Building Materials. — Prices are as follows at present :— Timber : Boards and scantling-, 100 ft best, 12s ; second -class, 6s 6d ; best, planed, tongued and grooved, first-class, 14s ; medium, lls ; second-class, 9s ; rusticated weather boards, first-class, 14s ; medium, lls ; second-class, 9s. New Zealand palings, sft (sap), 9s ; sft (heart), lls 6d ; ti-tree rails, £3 10s per 100 ; puriri po-jts, £6 10s to £7 10s; shingles, 12s 6d per 1,000 ; Hobarb palings, sft, 17s ; 6ft, 19s ; Hobart rails, 80s, selling quotations. Bricks at Avondale, 30s per 1,000 ; town yards, 38s, delivered 41s. Drain pipes, ac works ; 2in. drain tilee, Ift. lengths, 53s ncr 1,000; 2^in., 70s; 3in., ' 90s ; 4in , 130s ; 6in., 30s" per 100 ; 3in. hocket pipes, 2fb lengths, 6d each ; 4in., 7d ; 6in., 9d ; 9in., Is 6d ; 12in., 2s 3d; 15in., 3s 6d ; ISin., 4s 6d ; 21in., 9s ; 24in., 12s.
