llkitman and party, tributes, unearthed a splendid show of gold-bearing quartz when stripping the out-crop of the reef in their section of the mino on Friday la&t. Since then stone showing gold freely has been exposed to view for a distance of about 60 feet along the course of the lode, and the party of tributers reckon there isa bigdeposit of piecious metal close at hand.
OWHAROA. This district is almost ab a complete standstill, owing to the water supply nob boin£ equal to the battery requirements. Thcro is a large tonnage of stun" now awaiting; treatment, and handsome returns are expected therefrom.
