WAiOHOVrOM u. 26th 1888. I tiavk the honour to report on the mining property known as Ihe Sjh er Kin#. The ground comprises about /ifteen acres, and is situated on the top of the second ,elf-acting grade of the tramway, known as Butler's hpur. The reef in this property has been prospected for a length of 1,100 ieet. and varies in width from six to sixteen feet, showing silver and gold in every place where worked upon. A list of assays made is attached. A crosscut ib now bein^ driven to cut the reef down a distance of about 60 feet, which may be expected to be reached in the course of a month. Another reef appears on the western portion of the ground, which is about six feet wide, carrying gold and silver. The mine has excellent natural facilities for working, being casPv connected with (lie present tramway.
