It was stated the specifications by which the recent contracts were let, Hearty provided that the footpath in Bridge street was to be widened and graded all the way, when as it was asserted nothing had been done in the matter of receding ; other contracts were also referred to ; and it waB resolved, That the Engineer be requested not to grant any certificate for completion of contracts until same had been approved oT l>y the Works Committee. Frazer and Ilotchin be constituted a Works Committee. : Nuisance: — Considerable discussion I took place with respect to certain nuisances within the township, and the clerk was instructed to notify the proprietors of the Hot Springs Hotel re offensive drainage flowing from their premiseson to Whitakcr street ; and requesting that it be put a stop to. Special Meeting : — It was further resolved that a special meeting of the Board be hold on Monday evening next for the purpose of discussing various matters relating to By Laws and sanitation.
