Wanganui Meat Preserving Co Wanganui , April 10.
Tjik first annual icport of the Wanganui Meat Preserving Company was submitted to the shareholder* at the meeting on Saturday. It stated that the year's opeiations had been satisfactory, though the prolitb wei'C not as large as anticipated owing in a great measure to the low price of tallow and tinned meats in London, though the Company's meat commands the best prices in the market. The sum available lo credit of profit loss is i' 524 13s of which C 403 will bo written ofl for the pi eliminary expenses, the balance ot Cl2l being carried forward.
