At the Supremo Court/ this morning Martha Dal/icll, wat. charged with tho minder of her hon lour yeais old, on December 9th at Waikai. The evidence showed that she had tied the child to hei, walked into the river and .sab down in the water. Thioo children saw her, aud gave the alarm. When found she was insensible, and the child was acad. They were lying about 50 yaids from the stream, as it she had crawled out. She wa.s addicted to dunk and had been iti a lunatic asylum. The jury returned a verdict oL not guilty on grounds ot insanity.
