The Government; have not recehed any intimation irom the Agent-General of hi* unwillingness to hold office beyond the period of hib term which expiies in January next. The cabled intimation on this head is legaided by Ministers as a canard. The Agent-Geneial's- time expires in January next, and it is not thought that he will retire before then.
