The Waitema a Boating Club were the recipients last night ot a handsome banner fiom Mr Endean, of the Waiiemata Hotel. The banner is two feet squaie, made of silk, and in the cenire in gold is worked the letters W.8.C., while in the four corners 1885, 6, 7, 8, appear in blue silk, these being the years in which the Waiteirata Club ha\e won the Champion Whaleboat Race. The banner ib heavily ornamented with gold fringe, and presents a very handsome appearance.
