A Bright Youth.
Mil Philip Biuoht, Mr John Blight's youngest son, has gone to Brazil. A good story ia told about thin bright vivacious young man in connection with the marriage of hi* brother, the member for Stoke. Mr Leathum Bright was married not according to the simple ritfs of the Society of Fiiends, but by Archdeacon Farrar, in .St. Margaret's Church, Westminister. A short time afterward.", at a religious sew cc at the Westminster Friends' Meeting - house, an officious Quaker churlishly referred to the ceremony as having been performed by "a paid priest. " Wheioupon up jumped Mr Philip Bright, who was a mere youth at the time, and exclaimed — "He Avas certainly not a paid priest for he married my brother for nothing." This* was literally true, for Archdeacon Farrar refused to take any fees from a son of John Bright. The tables were thus effectually tinned upon the bturdy Quaker.
