DEFERRED PAYMENT SETTLERS.
WELLINGTON, March 27. The Government intend to deal with the case of dofcned payment settlers who are in arrears with their rent, in a Bill to be introduced next session. Mr Arthur Bell, son of Sir F. D. Bell, has been asked by the Government to represent New Zealand in tho conference of colonial delegates on the rabbit pest
KIMBERLEY GOLBFIEL D. The Jackson Reef Company, whose mine at Kimberley was utterly condemned by the manager, sent a party to inspect and report. The report of inspection has reached Melbourne, and is to the effect that a splendid stone has been found, The manager now acknowledges that he wns altogether wiong.
