Wellington Regatta.
The annual regatta of the Star Boating Club took place on Saturday last. Senior Four-oap.ed Outrkkiku Rack. — Wellington Rowing Club, 1 ; Star Boating Club, 2; Wanganui Rowing Club, 3. Wakatu (Nelson) and Canterbury crows also started. Maiden Fours Isrigged.— Wellington Rowing Club, 1 ; Star Boating Club, 2 ; Wanganui Union Club, 3. Wanganui Rowing Club and Napier Rowing Club also started. ."Junior Four-oared Outrigoers, £10 ; 1^ miles.— Star Boating Club, 1 ; Canterbury Rowing Club, 2; Wanganui Union Club, 6. The Star Boating Club won both the Senior Pairs and the Senior Double sculls, and then appropriated the Junior Double sculls. Foster (Napier Rowing Club), 1 ; Braithwnifce (Wakatu Rowing Club), 2. McKay (Wellington) and Copeland (Stars), the present holder', also started. Hall (Chrisfcohurch) won the ten-mile Champion Bicycle Race at Invercargill on Saturday last. Time, 39min 29sec. The second fifteen of the Ponsonby Football Club hold a meeting to-morrow evening at half-past seven in the V.M.C.A. rooms for the purposo of electing a captain and committee.
