A SUCCESSFUL AUCKLANDER.

Mu It. M. Ryburn of this city lias received a telegram stating that he has been successful in his examination for the B.A. degree at the New Zealand University. Mr Hyburn was first a pupil of Mr Worthinsjton's at the Wel-lesley-street East School where ho obtained a District Scholarship. This transferred him to the Auckland College and Grammar School where under Mr Bourne lie obtained an open scholai'Hhip and afterwards a valuable theological seholirahip. He has b^en for the past eighteen months studying at the Auckland University, but next week proceeds to Dunedin to the University there. Mr Ryburn is studying for the Presbyterian ministry, and has already officiated in same of the local churches. '
