TOWN BOARD.
A special meeting of Te Aroha Town Board was held on last Friday evening, for the purpose of opening and acceptingtenders for works within the township ; Present —Corns Dobson (chairman), Fnizer, Ilott, and Hotchin. In our last issue wo published the names of those whose tenders had been accepted, and the amounts in each case ; we now append a full list of the tenders received. No. 1 contract — (1). Making footpath on west side of Whitaker btreet, from Bridge street northwards, 16 chains, putting in pipes, etc. (2). Making footpath nn north side of Bridge street, from Wesleyan Gnurch to Fnriri street, 9 chains. (3) Reforming footpath on west side of Church Btreet, from Kenrick street to Bridge street, 6 chains ; providing and fixing 12 feet of 9 inch pipes, etc. Making footpath and roadway north side of Kenrick street from, ,Koromiko street to Kotuku street. 3£ chains :— G. C. Deverell (accepted), £22 18a 6d ; M. O'Donoghue, £24 ; P. Hogan, £25 ; J. Hehthcote, £27 10s ; J. Shine, £30 10s ; F. Me Devitt, £36; W. Hetherington, £37. No, 2 Contract. — Making footpath east side of Whitaker street, from Hot Springs Domain gate to house formerly occupied by Dr Cooper, 12 feet wide, 22 chains; fixing pipes (each set 16 feet long), etc., providing and spreading s;ind on same : — M. O'Donoghue, £23 ; W. Thomson, £27 19s ; J. Heathcote, £35 ; J. Shine, £36 12s ; F. McDevitt, £38 ; Murray and Orr, £44 18s lOd. No. 3 Contract.— (l) Making footpath (and footbridge) on west side of Rewi street, from Post office to Rolleston street, putting in pipes, etc., 8 chains. (2) Eeforming footpath on west side of Rewi street, "from Post office to Kenrick street, putting in pipes and crossing footpath on the latter street. (3) Gravelling (60 cubic yards) 3 chains cf Bridge street, near Johnson's, etc : — G. C. Deverill accepted), £23 9a ; F. McDevitt, £25 10s ; J. Heathcote, £28 ; J. Shine. £30 19sNo. 4 Contract :— (1.) Making footpath 12 feet wide, east Lipsey street, from Bridge street to Railway station, putting in pipes, etc. (2. "1 Re-forming footpath south side Bridge street from Whitaker street to Lipsey street, and across Bridge street, providing and spreading sand, etc : W. Hethri'ngton, (accepted), £21 12s ; M. O' Donoghue, £23 ; Michael and Southey, £25 10s ; G. C. Deverell, £26 ; Murray and Orr, £26 163 2d; J. Shine, £27 4s ; F. McDevitt, £30. No. 5 Contract :— (1.) Carting- screenings on to footpath, north side of Boundary street from Whitaker street to ' Post Office, 5 chains (3 cuGic yards per chain). (2.) Carting on sand to footpaths in Bridge street, from Whitaker street to east side of Church street, and in Church street, from Kenrick street to Wesleyan churoh,;lfij chains. (3.)
