Tomatoks - I'ioklkd.— Prick the skins of your tomatoes ; spread thorn in layers, and on each layer pub pounded mnce, cloves, and cinnamon, and pour cold vinegar over the whole. The vinegar from tomatoes thus nremred is preferable to catsup.

Tomvto S\rt'K.— -Take 8 pounds of rips tomatoes., 1 quart vinegar, 1 pound salt, 2 ounces whole black pepper, salt«poonful of cayenne pepper, \ pound whole allspice (biuibcd), 6 large onions (cub up), 1 ounce cloves, 2 poumK brown sugar ; boil all together three houi*, stuVing frequently ; when cold, strain through a <neve fine enough to retain the seeds, and then bottle.
