Two tenden -were received by the Uoard of Education for erection of brick ( chimney at teachers residence Morrinsville, viz., J. Rockliffe, £9 10s Oil (informal) ; C. Johnson, £10 10s Od (accepted). Paneing commenced soon after 8 p.m., and was kept up with great spirit till midnight, when there was an interval for refreshments which T.ere handed round by the Committee : After full justice had been done to the Q00(\ things provided for the occasion, and all had sufficiently rested, dancing was ie-unud and kept up almost without intermibMnn till ihnbioak. The committee were mobt attentive, the anangcments satisfactoiy, and all present appealed to enjoy themselves thoioughly.
